MCRA Open House

Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Mingo County Redevelopment Authority will host an Open House event at its newly created Central Mountain Heights subdivision, located across the King Coal Highway from the Mingo Central football field. Available for viewing will be several vacant lots in the new subdivision, as well as the Authority’s spec house, a joint venture with Coalfield Development Corporation.

The uniquely constructed timber framed house boasts rustic, exposed beams, an open floor concept, three bedrooms, two and a half baths, a covered porch and a garage.

The house will be sold by auction at some future date with a minimum bid being established at the appraised value, and qualified bidders must present a certified letter of credit from a reputable lending institution.

The Authority is awaiting appraised values of the vacant lots, all of which will be clearly marked during today’s Open House event. The lots range in size from ½ acre to 2 acres.

Leasha Johnson, executive director of the MCRA, encourages anyone interested in the new subdivision to attend the Open House event Tuesday. “Central Mountain Heights is the embodiment of rustic elegance, offering breathtaking views of the Appalachian Mountains and quaint neighborhood qualities unique to this Mingo County location. Please join us for Open House Tuesday to decide if you’d like to make this beautiful place your new home.”
