AIR TRANSPORTATION PARK

The new Mingo County Airport (Appalachian Regional Airport), located at Varney, West Virginia, boasts a brand new, state of the art 5,000’ runway and taxi-way, complete with lighting, fencing and wind instrumentation. 
FAA approved facility which affords Mingo County with:
    (1) an improved quality of general aviation services
    (2) a safer environment for aircraft operations
    (3) hundreds of acres of developable land for aviation related and light-                         industrial businesses needed to generate job creation in Mingo County. 
 
The park was just designated as AEROready™, which is a validation of the community and region for the aerospace industry.
